Fun at Motivated During Reading Promise Week

Reading Promise Week was on October 7 - 15. Organizations around the city had events and programs centered around promoting literacy. Motivated Young Scholars joined in the celebration by hosting on October 12th a reading workshop at the Motivated Community Resource Center located at 5646 Cedar Avenue in Philadelphia.

The students at Motivated Young Scholars took part in story reading, creating alternate endings to stories, and crafting projects related to the story. The story of the day was called "Way Past Loney" by Haley Alderman. Each student received a Reading Promise Bag with the book, Way Past Loney, and many other great reading materials and games.
