The middle school students of Motivated Young Scholars engaged in their first class of home economics. The class was so much fun! Ms. Vickey of Sugar Rush Kakes taught the students how to make cupcakes from scratch. Next, they will learn how to make homemade icing and decorate cupcakes.
Each week students will learn a new technique that they can apply in the kitchens of their own homes. Students will learn baking techniques to set a proper table. They will learn about temperature, scale, volume, grams, cups, etc. At the end of each class, they will be able to take their delicious creations home with them.
