Back to School Community Family Day

Each year, we host an annual Back to School event for our community families.  We thought that this would be a great way to say thank you to the community and to celebrate the beginning of a new school year and the end of summer.  With so much going on with Covid-19, we can say “We made it through another year!”  During this event, we will host various vendors from the education and social service field who will share much-needed resources with our families.  We also plan to provide free school supplies and school uniforms to families who need a little extra help with school materials.

 

This year, we are combining our Literacy Day with our Back-to-School Community Family Day.  During this year’s event, we want to promote the love for reading and distribute free story books to the children.  We would be delighted if you would consider joining us for this event by sharing your love of reading with the attending children.  Perhaps read a story, play a reading game, or distribute books and literacy resources to the families.  With our partners Christy Recreation Center and Mastery Charter School Harrity Elementary, we anticipate well over 250 families attending this event.
