Back to School Community Family Day

Each year, we host an annual Back to School event for our community families. We thought that this would be a great way to say thank you to the community and to celebrate the beginning of a new school year and the end of summer. With so much going on with Covid-19, we can say “We made it through another year!” During this event, we will host various vendors from the education and social service field who will share much-needed resources with our families. We will also provide free school supplies and school uniforms to families who need a little extra help with school materials.

Motivated Community Resource Center provides community-based services to West Philadelphia residents by providing Community Outreach, Education, and Advocacy.  Motivated aims to ignite our community for change by empowering and improving the quality of life for families.

This year, we are combining our Literacy Day with our Back-to-School Community Family Day. During this year’s event, we want to promote the love for reading and distribute free story books to the children.  With our partners Christy Recreation Center and Mastery Charter School, we anticipate well over 250 families attending this event.
